Where can I get eclipse glasses?
Eclipse glasses are available from Livingston County Tourism (6 Court St Room 306 Geneseo NY 14454). Certain Livingston County retail locations also sell eclipse glasses and additional merchandise. Eclipse glasses or solar filters should comply with the transmission requirements of the ISO 12312-2 international standard for filters for direct viewing of the Sun. If you would like a large quantity, please reach out to info@visitlivco.com.
What is a Total Solar Eclipse?
A total solar eclipse, like what people in LivCo will experience, happens when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the sun.

When should I expect increased traffic in LivCo?
The anticipated community impact days are Thursday, April 4, 2024 to Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Where can I view the eclipse?
Residents are encouraged to stay in their communities to view the eclipse. Several villages will be hosting events for residents to enjoy and view the eclipse in their respective downtowns. The official LivCo Sol public viewing area for visitors will be at the Livingston Fairgrounds in Caledonia (310 Leicester St, Caledonia, NY 14423). Letchworth State Park will also be open for public viewing, however, space will be limited. For public health and safety, no new visitors will be admitted once capacity is reached. We recommend reserving your tickets and/or parking spaces ahead of time or having multiple options if your first option is filled up.
